Embrace Life's Beautiful Risks. To my Sister.

As I pen down these words, my mind and emotions are playing tricks on me. Time, once perceived as a rigid construct, is revealing itself as a mere illusion. The rules we've lived by, the schedules we've adhered to—were they truly enough to understand the profound essence of our existence? As I grapple with these thoughts, I find strength in the lessons life has taught me, lessons that go beyond the conventional markers of time.

Nothing worthwhile in my life came without risks. Nelson Mandela's words echo in my mind: "There is no passion to be found playing small." I took risks, faced the unknown, and embraced failure as a stepping stone to success. Life wasn't predetermined; it depended on my choices and how I perceived my journey. I stood at the corner of my room, imagining my final moments, questioning how many ghosts of unfulfilled dreams would surround me.

And now, as I address you, my beloved sister, I want you to know that these musings come from a place of profound love and admiration. You, my dear Chelsie, embody strength and resilience. Your role as a mother has brought a new level of beauty to your existence, and I am immensely proud of the person you've become. If I could have one wish, it would be for you to live a life filled with love and happiness.

Life, as I've come to understand, is short and unpredictable. Since my stroke, I've felt the intensity of every emotion, and it has taught me to live fully. You've always been there for me, guiding me in ways words cannot express. I want you to continue living a life that brings you joy, surrounded by love. I may not be physically present, but I will always be with you in spirit, cheering you on.

The song "Beautiful People Beautiful Problems" encapsulates the sentiment I want to convey. Life is a journey filled with moments to remember, share, and sometimes shed a tear. In writing my story, I discovered a strength within me that I never knew existed. The wisdom gained illuminated my path, and the laughter, love, and tears became a testament to a life lived with purpose.

I've listed ten gifts to myself, a reflection of the journey from the depths of despair to a newfound appreciation for life. Through my story, I hope to inspire others to confront their fears, embrace the unknown, and find hope in the darkest of moments. Changing my thoughts, aligning with love and abundance, and taking responsibility for the energy I project became my tools for transformation.

As I continue to grow and discover the preciousness of life, I want you, sister, to savor each day as a gift of time. Love fiercely, take risks, and delve ever deeper into the mysteries of your soul. The quote, "What a caterpillar calls the end of the world, we call a butterfly," reminds us that transformation is a beautiful and inevitable part of life.

Amidst the quietness that lingers within us, there's a perpetual ache to fight. Since we were little, you, my sister, have exemplified that fighting spirit. Age may be just a number, but it's the unique experiences we've separately lived that make us who we are. The quiet strength that emanates from you has been a constant source of inspiration for me. You've faced your battles with courage, and I've witnessed your resilience shaping you into the remarkable person you are today.

Our journeys, though intertwined, have unfolded in distinct ways. Yet, through it all, there's a shared thread of love and understanding that binds us. It's a testament to the unspoken bond that transcends the limitations of time and space. Your role as a mother has added a new layer of depth to this shared history, a history marked by the fights and victories we've experienced individually and collectively.

Life's brevity and unpredictability have become more apparent since my stroke. The quiet moments when we reflect on our lives become profound. In these moments, I feel the echoes of your strength and the battles you've faced. I encourage you to continue living authentically, embracing the joy that life offers. My physical absence doesn't diminish the presence of my spirit beside you, cheering you on through every triumph and challenge remember that always.

With all my love and admiration, Tash xoxox
